You might want to capture your friend in a portrait at his or her handsome best, or give, or be given their portrait as a gift or birthday present. And there is something special about a portrait in oil that gives or adds so much to the memory of a departed friend and companion; a sense of permanence and warmth comes from the very medium itself.

My paintings on canvas, and finished with an eggshell varnish, look good in most rooms - study to sitting room. 'Buster' for example (on the right) still lives in the kitchen near his food!
